Plymouth cup test for Blues

Posted: Mon 17 Jun 2013

Blues have been drawn at home to Plymouth Argyle in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The tie will be played at St. Andrew's during the week commencing August 5. The kick-off time and prices will be confirmed in due course.

The League Two outfit, who are managed by John Sheridan, narrowly escaped relegation last season, as they finished just a point above the drop zone.

The two sides last played each other in the Championship during the 2008/09 season. Blues won 1-0 at Home Park and were held to a 1-1 draw at St. Andrew's.

They have played each other ten times in the League Cup, with 2011 winners Blues winning six of the matches, one being drawn and Plymouth victorious in three.
