Blues and Help Harry Help Others are delighted to confirm a grand total of £118,000 raised from the inaugural Footy4Harry.

The celebrity football match held at St. Andrew's on Saturday 18 May proved to be a great day for the thousands of all ages who witnessed Harry's Heroes beat The Moseley Mob 12-2.

And the fun-filled event also raised a whopping amount of cash for our official charity partner, Help Harry Help Others, set up to continue the remarkable fund-raising feats of the late Birmingham schoolboy Harry Moseley.

The total raised came from ticket and corporate sales, a funfair set up in the Kop Car Park and generous sponsorship from Virgin Media and Lookers. It is now hoped that Footy4Harry will become an annual event held at St. Andrew's.

Harry's mother, Georgie Moseley, said: “Footy4Harry was such an amazing day for families.

“To have all those children in the stadium, to have them look down and see a stadium full of people and the biggest celebs in the country, all there supporting what Harry started, was just incredible.

“We really hope it will help inspire them to do more to help others and show just what each of them is capable of.

“This was a chance for us to say a huge thank you to Birmingham for all the support they have given Harry and the charity, and create a really special family day for everyone to enjoy."

The club's partnership with the local charity will continue this season with Help Harry Help Others' colourful logo set to adorn the front of all baby, infant, junior and Blues Academy shirts for the 2013/14 campaign.
