Lee Clark on his side's run out at Oxford:
"The opposition gave us a tough game which is good. We started the game quite brightly. One of the aspects during pre-season is dry pitches being cut too short so you've got to make your own tempo and I felt we went a little bit off that in the first-half. We didn't really create many clear cut openings and the only one was when we scored. I asked the players to try to create a few more opportunities in the second-half and they did that."
Clark on Allan:
"I'm very excited by what he can do. I think he can see a pass, he likes to be positive and attacks players. So when you think he's only had 30 minutes or so action with West Brom before he came here then I'm really pleased with his start to his time at Birmingham and I'm looking forward to seeing him progress as he gets fitter and fitter.
Allan on his first appearance in a Blues shirt and what fans can expect to see from him:
"I thought I did OK. This was my first game during pre-season so I was just looking to ease my way in and improve my fitness. I'll get sharper once I've trained with the boys and settled in here. I think the 3-5-2 formation works well if everybody looks for angles to get on the ball, it gives you lot of options. It's still early doors, the more games we play with it then hopefully it will get better for us."
"I'm mainly a creative player. I like to get on the ball and thread passes through and show flashes of skill so hopefully I can excite the Blues fans."
