Midfielder Shane Ferguson was in action for Northern Ireland on Tuesday evening as they suffered a shock 3-2 defeat in Luxembourg.
The on-loan Newcastle man played an hour of the World Cup qualifying fixture, before being substituted.
The victory was the just fourth that the hosts had recorded in their whole World Cup qualifying history.
Elsewhere, goalkeeper Darren Randolph was an unused substitute for the Republic of Ireland as they were beaten 1-0 by Austria in their qualifier.
The defeat in Vienna means that the Republic's hopes of qualifying for Brazil are all but over.
Meanwhile Chris Burke was not in the Scotland matchday squad as Gordon Strachan’s side impressed as they beat Macedonia 2-1 in Skopje.
