Richard Beale's development squad suffered defeat at the City Ground on Friday night.

Goals from Jack Beale, Josh Rees and Marcus Tudgay wrapped up this U21 Professional Development League 2 North fixture for Forest.

The evening didn't start well for the visitors with full-back Nathaniel Kelly stretchered off with an injury after 12 minutes following a challenge with Michael Hollingsworth.

Both sides enjoyed chances in a goalless first half and Blues made a strong start to the second 45 with trialist Adda Djeziri and then Liam Truslove going close in quick succession just before the hour mark.

However the hosts soon got their noses in front when Blake found space in the Blues box to fire past Nick Townsend. Ben Osbourn then set up Rees for a tap in from close range before Tudgay lashed home a third moments later.
