Blues boss Lee Clark has been dealt a major blow following news that Neal Eardley is set to miss the remainder of the season.

The Wales international hobbled off in the 34th minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Ipswich Town.

Scans have since revealed that the right-back ruptured his medial ligament and suffered a partial tear in his anterior cruciate ligament.

The 24-year-old, who arrived on a three-year deal back in May, now faces an operation which is likely to see him sidelined for the remainder of the 2013/14 campaign.

The club would like to take this opportunity to wish Neal a speedy recovery.
