Clark on a cruel game...
"I’m frustrated for the players. They didn’t deserve that at all. I thought we deserved to be 2-0 up at half-time and I’m delighted with the performance of every player. I thought they were terrific from start to finish.
We changed it a bit in the second-half to combat Gary O’Neil being in off Charlie Austin and we carried on being a threat going forward. I’m disappointed and frustrated by the result and it’s turning out to be a cruel season for us at the moment.
We’ve created some excellent chances. Lee Novak was unlucky with the header that’s hit the post and then there’s the Andrew Shinnie chance before half-time.
It’s difficult for me to comment on any incidents that I haven’t had chance to watch back yet, so I’m not sure about the non-penalty and the yellow card for diving but all I know is that the lad (Jonathan Spector) in question is an honest professional.
The players have to keep believing and we need to take that level of performance into the Burnley game
and go from there."
Burn on Blues' lack of fortune...
"We’ve had some really good performances but at the end of the day it’s all about results. We performed very well today, especially in the first-half, and created plenty of chances but for one reason or another we didn't take them.
They couldn’t have scored a luckier goal. The ball has just bounced off Tom (Adeyemi), come back off the bar and straight onto the head of their player to score.
We played deeper than we normally would, soaked up the pressure and tried to catch them on the counter attack. It seemed to work well for us but at the end of the day we haven’t won and that’s all that counts.
We haven’t been getting the results our performances have deserved and I like to think your luck evens itself out over the course of the season.
The gaffer has said in the dressing room not to dwell on it much as we’ve got a game at Burnley at Tuesday
to get ourselves ready for. It’ll be a massive game and everybody is up for it."
