Blues boss Lee Clark and Chris Burke react to the 3-0 defeat to Burnley.

Lee Clark on a comprehensive defeat...

"We didn't deserve to get anything with our performance. We didn't play well enough in every aspect of the game. When you concede goals so early in each half, it becomes a problem. It was by far our most disappointing performance of the season. I was frustrated on Saturday (against QPR) because we deserved to get something from that game but tonight we got what we deserved and I'm just disappointed.

"As the leader of the group, I take responsibility for the result and now we've got to dust ourselves down and get ready for Saturday.

"It's our first bad performance of the season. We've come very close in other games and should have had extra points on the board and that's what has kept us going but tonight we haven't done well in any aspect of the game. We came up against a very good group of players in Burnley and what I like about them is that they've got a tremendous work ethic.

"I just feel so sorry for our supporters and I'm desperate to do it for them and the club. I'm desperate to deliver what they deserve and with every result like this, it's just a hammer blow to me; it's a dagger in the heart but I've got to make sure the players are lifted because we've got a huge game on Saturday. It's a home game and it needs to be won."

Clark on Reece Brown's first-team debut...

"My only player who has probably enhanced his reputation tonight was young Reece Brown. He come on and showed his ability, that's the one plus point of the night. Reece was very good on the ball, showed no nerves and was competitive. Even for his slight frame, he doesn't get knocked off the ball and we think there's a bright future ahead of him."

Chris Burke on how Blues will look to bounce back...

"We need a result against Sheffield Wednesday. We're at home and we should be dominant and dictate play, hopefully we can do that on Saturday and start scoring goals. That's where we've been lacking and if you look at it obviously goals do win you games. No matter if we play badly and put a couple in the back of the net, we'd take that.

"If we stick together and keep doing what we believe in, we'll do OK. It was an off night tonight but if you look in all the other games we've played well and it's just not happened for us. I'm sure if we keep playing well, we're going to win a game and hopefully it's on Saturday."
