A young Blues side were held to a 2-2 draw by Bristol City at Wast Hills.

Blues took the lead just before half-time when Wes Harding headed the ball home to record his first goal of the season.

But with Blues still congratulating themselves, Bristol broke immediately from the kick-off and levelled the scores.

Kieran Dunbar (pictured) put Blues 2-1 up mid-way through the second half, but the hosts were unable to hold on for the win as Bristol struck an equaliser with six minutes to go.

Academy coach Steve Spooner was disappointed his side weren't able to collect all three points.

"I was pleased with the overall performance but disappointed to concede a goal that near to the end of the game," he said.

"Overall I thought we edged it and should have won on the chances created. We still need to be a little bit more ruthless in and around that 18-yard box.

"We're still also conceding too many goals and making silly errors and that's something we're desperate to put right."

Blues U18s: Preston, Martin, Bernard (Challis, 78), Potter (O'Keefe, 45), Webb, Harding, Dunbar, Cooper, McGee, O'Neill, Solomon (McFarlane, 85).
