Chris Burke on Scotland duty

A number of Blues players have been called up for international duty.

Blues winger Chris Burke has been named in the Scotland squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying against Croatia at Hampden Park on 15 October.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Darren Randolph has been named in the provisional 26-man Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Germany on 11 October in Cologne, and Kazakhstan on 15 October at the Aviva Stadium.

The squad will be shortened ahead of the fixtures in order to facilitate injuries etc.

Meanwhile, midfielder Callum Reilly has been selected for the Republic's U21 squad for their UEFA U21 qualifiers.

The U21s travel to Romania on 11 October, before hosting the same opposition in Ireland on 15 October.

Blues are also represented in the U19 age group with defender Bobby Moseley in the squad for the forthcoming U19 UEFA European Championship Qualifying Tournament.

The tournament is being held in Helsingborg, Sweden from 10-15 October 2013.

On-loan Newcastle winger Shane Ferguson has been called up by Northern Ireland for their two World Cup qualifiers.

Michael O’Neill’s side travel to Azerbaijan on 11 October and then Israel on 15 October.

Young Blues defender Jack Challis captained Wales U16s during the 1-0 Victory Shield defeat to England U16s.
