Will Packwood made his debut for new loan club Bristol Rovers at the weekend.

Despite putting in a man-of-the-match performance it was a losing start for the young American defender, as the Pirates were beaten 1-0 at the Memorial Stadium by Wycombe Wanderers.

The Sky Bet League Two outfit were forced to play more than 60 minutes with just ten men after David Clarkson was shown a straight red card when he caught Josh Cawen with his arm after 25 minutes.

Wycombe finally made their numerical advantage count after 82 minutes, when substitute Max Kretzschma scored the only goal of the game.

Meanwhile defender Amari'i Bell was in action for Nuneaton Town on Saturday. Bell played the full game for the Boro as they suffered a 4-1 mauling at home to Gateshead in their Skrill Premier League encounter.

Striker Reece Hales was an unused substitute for Worcester City in their Skrill North away fixture at Oxford City. The game ended all-square at 0-0.

There was more luck for another Blues defender James Fry, who played the full match for Leamington against Stalybridge Celtic.

A stoppage-time goal from Craig Owen was enough to give the Brakes a 1-0 win in the Skrill North encounter.

Another Blues debut boy on Saturday was Ryan Higgins. Higgins played the full 90 for loan side Tamworth against luton at The Lamb. The game was a seven-goal thriller, but unfortunately for the former Everton-trainee he was on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat in the Skrill Premier League match.
