Will Packwood's Bristol Rovers put in a battling performance to earn themselves a point against promotion-chasing Chesterfield on Saturday.

The on-loan American defender played the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw at the Memorial Ground and provided another accomplished display for the Pirates.

John Ward's League Two side are currently two places ahead of the drop zone.

Meanwhile, striker Reece Hales came on as an 83rd minute substitute for Worcester City in their FA Cup with Budweiser Fourth Qualifying Round tie against Lincoln City at Aggborough.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, so the sides will meet again at Sincil Bank in the replay on Tuesday evening.

Amari'i Bell's hopes of making progress in the FA Cup with loan club Nuneaton Town were dashed as they were beaten 2-0 at home by FC Halifax.

The Blues left-back played 72 minutes before being substituted.

Finally Jean Kalenda was an unused substitute for Stourbridge FC as the Glassboys put on an impressive showing to beat Workington 3-1 away in their FA Cup qualifying tie.

The result means that Stourbridge are in the FA Cup first round proper for the first time in four years, where they will play fellow Calor League Premier side Biggleswade Town at home.
