Shane Ferguson has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their forthcoming friendly fixture against Turkey.

Michael O'Neill's side will play the Turks at the Adana 5 Ocak Stadium in Adana on Friday 15 November (9pm kick-off).

Turkey are currently number 40 in the FIFA World Rankings, with Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland side 90th.

If Ferguson plays in the match, the on-loan Newcastle midfielder will earn his 14th senior cap for his country.

The 22-year-old's call-up comes a day after Chris Burke was selected for the Scotland squad.

On-loan Manchester United striker Jesse Lingard has been called into the England U21 squad for their upcoming U21 UEFA European Championship Qualifiers.

The young Three Lions host Finland at Milton Keynes Dons' StadiumMK on Thursday 14 November, before taking on San Marino at Shrewsbury Town's Greenhous Meadows Stadium on Tuesday 19 November.

Callum Reilly has been included in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for the forthcoming UEFA U21 Qualifiers.

The young Republic side will play the Faroe Islands at The Showgrounds, Sligo and  Montenegro at Podgorica City Stadium, Podgorica on Friday, 15 and Tuesday, 19 November 2013 respectively. 

There has also been been international recognition for two Blues youngsters.

Demarai Gray and Reece Brown have been selected for the forthcoming England U18 Training Camp at St Georges Park, Burton on the 17 November.
