Jonathan Spector and Wade Elliott
Lee Clark is confident that both Jonathan Spector and Wade Elliott will commit their futures to the club in the near future.
The midfield duo’s signings would be a real positive as the Blues boss looks to prepare his squad for the season ahead.
Spector has been offered a new two-year contract and Elliott a one-year deal, plus a one-year option.
American international Spector agreed his deal late last night and will sign on the dotted line once he returns from getting married in the United States.
"Hopefully we can get both Jonathan and Wade tied up very shortly because they can play a massive part for us in terms of them being experienced players," said the Blues boss.
"We really need to get things resolved quickly because for me as a manager I need to start planning.”
Regarding Elliott's future, Clark said: "The indications I’m getting from Wade are that he’s prepared to sign and ready to sign.
"We’re just waiting until it’s done and dusted, although you should never say never."
