Jenny Priddey enjoyed a very special VIP experience when she was entertained in the directors' boardroom at Birmingham City’s home game against Doncaster.

Jenny, from Bartley Green, Birmingham, received an EZE Wish after being nominated by her son Jon who wanted to recognise her for the way she has battled breast cancer since being diagnosed with the illness last December.

At last Tuesday night’s game, Jenny and her partner Troy Chapman were entertained in the boardroom by the club's senior finance officer, Roger Lloyd, before watching the match from the comfort of the directors' box.

One of the highlights of the evening for Jenny was the opportunity to meet childhood hero and Blues legend Trevor Francis who was also at the game.

“It was an absolutely awesome night, and meeting Trevor Francis in particular was a dream come true,” said Jenny, who attended her first Blues game with her dad when she was just two-years-old.

Before the game, Jenny and Troy enjoyed a slap-up meal with drinks and were able to mingle with directors and club guests.

“It was a fabulous night and I can’t thank Roger Lloyd and the directors enough for the way they looked after us,” added Jenny.

Twelve months ago, Jenny, who is a care worker, was diagnosed with breast cancer and since then she has had two undergo two operations and chemotherapy treatment.

Her son Jon, who nominated her for the EZE Wish, said: “Mum is a die-hard Birmingham fan and has been a regular down at St Andrews from a very early age. Unfortunately, just before Christmas last year she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

"We were thankfully told that she is in remission, but due to all of her treatment she has had a lot of time of work and had some financial difficulty. As a consequence of this, she has been unable to come down on a match day to cheer on the Blues as she has always loved.”

“To be able to give her something like this after the year she's had is really brilliant.”

EZE Wishes is an initiative from the club’s diamond partners EZE Group which is designed to recognised and reward deserving Blues fans who have either overcome adversity, shown tremendous community spirit or demonstrated outstanding support for the team.

Dominic O’Reilly, chief executive of EZE Group, said:  “Jenny has shown true fighting spirit and we were delighted to be able to treat her to the sort of experience ordinary fans rarely have the opportunity to enjoy.”
