Lee Clark and Tom Adeyemi give their thoughts on today's entertaining goalless draw with Forest

Lee Clark on today’s match...
“I thought it was an excellent game between two committed teams. They’ve got lots of good players and an experienced manager and we knew it was going to be tough. But I thought my players have given everything, showed passion and never given in. In the first-half some of our football was excellent and their keeper has had to make two or three excellent saves to keep it at 0-0. In the second-half they’ve got a little bit more possession and we couldn’t get on the ball often enough but we got on it in the last 20-25 minutes and created opportunities and could have won it at the end. I think their keeper has been much busier than mine. I know it’s another draw at home but I can’t fault my players, they couldn’t have done any more than put the ball in the back of the net. I’m frustrated for the players because I think they deserved the three points. I thought that was one of the most fluent performances at home in terms of passing and keeping possession.”

Clark on the clearest goal-scoring opportunity which fell to Nikola Zigic...
“I’ve said to all the attackers there today, the time it’s a problem for us is when they're not in there missing them. I accept that they’ll miss chances – that’s not an issue for me. He certainly kept getting back into the danger zone. On the form he is in, he’d probably expected himself to put it in. I don’t know whether he tried to generate the power himself, but the power was already on the cross. Top strikers don’t let those things like that worry them, they get back in and get on the next cross. That’s what he did today and I haven’t got a problem with that. He’s making a massive contribution to what we’re doing at the moment. Along with the other players, he’s shown fantastic commitment to the cause, as he did when he’s headed the one off the line in the second-half.”

Clark on the benefit of having nearly 20,000 home fans cheering the team on...
“I think the crowd has seen that we’ve got lots of ability and a group of players who are doing everything for that jersey. Even though they want to come and see wins, they’ve been proud of their players today and I hope that will make them want to come back and keep those numbers high in terms of the home games. Honestly, their support has been invaluable to us and we’re really appreciative of it. It makes one hell of a difference – the atmosphere today was absolutely terrific. The crowd drove the team on. I know we’ve won 4-1 and 4-0 against Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall but those performances were nowhere near like it was today because that was a top quality display. I believe that was down to the atmosphere in the stadium. The young boys seemed to really enjoy that and get inspired by it.”

Tom Adeyemi on the backing of the Blues fans...
“It was a great initiative from the club to reduce ticket prices, especially at this time of the year when it’s difficult for fans to be able to get to every game. They came in massive numbers and it was a real help today. Hopefully some of the fans that haven’t been here this season and came today have seen enough to think that they’re going to continue to back us because it gave us a massive boost. “
