Lee Clark's post-match reaction...

On his frustration at losing the game...
I'm frustrated particularly with the manner we conceded the goal. It was very poor to say the least. When the players started to show a bit more belief in the second-half we started to cause Brighton a lot more problems. I thought we had some great situations in the first half where we just didn't show enough belief. It was a half-hearted pass or cross or half-hearted attempt at goal. When we did it in the second-half we created better opportunities.

On the goal itself...
The players have seen footage of the goal already because I was so angry and disappointed. It's so poor that we needed to talk about it straight after the game. They had four or five players in the move that were never pressed and the deep midfield runner has just had a free run without people tracking him. You can't do that at this level of the game because you just get punished. That's the difference between us having a 0-0 and a point.

On scoring more goals...
I was pleased with the attacking response of the players in the second-half but we’re not putting the ball in the net enough and I understand that. I'm frustrated and gutted for the fans because the support they're giving the group is unbelievable. I just want to get them some positive results

What next?
We'll dust ourselves down and keep working with them and make sure they get their heads up. They should do because they're giving us everything in terms of the work. But as they're young players we've got to eradicate one or two little errors that are in our game and have the 'if you can't win it, don't lose it' mentality.

Scott Allan's thoughts...

His disappointment at losing the goal when they did...
I thought we defended well up until the goal. We came out for the second-half and pushed for a goal and obviously hit the bar twice. It was just very disappointing to lose a goal like we did and get nothing from the game.

The overall team performance...
I thought we defended quite well and we started creating more chances and more clear-cut chances in the second half and if one of those goes in it’s a different game, but we were all just bitterly disappointed to lose the game to a goal like that because they didn’t really have to work for it. We just need to work harder on the training ground and I am sure it will turn for us.

The difference between the first-half and second-half...
I think we just got on the ball more and got into better areas and they couldn’t deal with us.  When they scored we were on top at the time. Unfortunately today we couldn’t give the fans the win that they wanted. Hopefully next week we’ll get a better result.
