The Polish international had been with the club since the end of October after signing a two-month contract as a free agent.
During his time at St. Andrew's the 30-year-old midfielder made two first-team appearances. Those came in the Sky Bet Championship draws against Blackpool and Middlesbrough.
Blues boss Lee Clark admitted that it was always going to be a struggle for the former Levante and Auxerre star to get up to speed in the Championship, despite having impressed for the development squad.
"These sort of short-term deals are always difficult when you bring in a player that hasn’t played or trained much because of their circumstances," said Clark.
"He’s obviously an international footballer and has got a lot of quality. But after speaking to him when he made his full debut against Middlesbrough he actually realised how quick the level is in the Championship in comparison to where he’s been.
"I'd like to thank Dariusz for the contribution he made during his short time with us and wish him every success in his footballing career."
