Loan watch - 5 in action

Five Blues players were in action for their respective loan clubs over the course of the weekend.

In Sky Bet League One, Wade Elliott played the duration of Bristol City's 2-2 home draw with Tranmere Rovers, while Hayden Mullins played the full 90 minutes of Notts County's 2-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Goalkeeper Nick Townsend made his debut for Lincoln City in the Skrill Premier and kept a clean sheet as the Imps won 2-0 at home to Kidderminster Harriers. Townsend had joined Blues midfielder Charlee Adams in the Lincoln ranks, with the 19-year-old making his fourth appearance for his loan club.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Darren Ambrose netted again for Apollon Smyrni during a 77 minute performance but couldn't prevent the Greek Super League side going down 2-1 at Panetoilikos. 

Right-back Ryan Higgins was denied the opportunity to chalk up further experience with Leamington on Saturday in the Skrill North as the Brakes' home fixture against Vauxhall Motors was called off due to the weather-damaged pitch.
