Birmingham City boss Lee Clark gives his thoughts on the fightback against the Clarets.

Lee Clark’s take on the game…
“It was an exciting game against a really a good team and a team that are always looking to win the game no matter what the scoreline is or whatever period of the game it is. For us to perform the way we did and get a point in the manner we did we’re delighted.”

Clark asked if he thought his team deserved a draw…
“Without a doubt. That’s why that emotion at the end was there and that’s why I was celebrating the way I was. It was for the fans and the players. If they had come off that pitch having lost that game it would have been criminal that they didn’t get anything for their efforts. We were brave, we created chances and we stuck to the game plan. There was nothing in the first half. We made half an error and we got punished to go one down and Darren Randolph isn’t making lots of saves before that. Then the game opens up and we create as much as them.”

Clark on keeping going to the end…
“Burnley were still going for the jugular when it was 3-3. That’s the way they play and why they are where they are, because they’ve got brilliant players that are playing on top of their game and a great group ethic. For us to get a result like this so late in the day is a huge boost for us. If we can do it against a quality team like Burnley it sets us up well for the rest of the season. We have to take that level of endeavour, performance and commitment into the next game.”

Clark on the crowd…
“The support is brilliant and they have been with us all the time, but more importantly with the players. At the end they were fantastic in terms of the congratulations they were giving as we went down the touchline.”
