"It was difficult playing against such a strong side, but the other girls helped me, keeping me in the right places at the right time" said the 16-year-old.
When asked about making her debut at St. Andrew's, Carter admitted: "I was very nervous, even up until about ten minutes into the game."
"After Remi (Allen) got the goal, it boosted everyone's confidence and made us realise we could go on and win it." she later added.
Blues Ladies will take a 1-0 lead into Sunday's second leg after keeping a clean sheet at St.Andrew's: "It was important they didn't get through us, which is exactly what we wanted, which gives us the upper-hand when we go through to Sunday's game."
