Cherries defeat disappoints Macheda

Posted: Sat 29 Mar 2014

Federico Macheda gives his reaction to Birmingham City's 4-2 defeat to AFC Bournemouth at St. Andrew's.

"It's a very disappointing result, I thought we started the game very well." said the Italian.

"After 25 minutes we find ourselves 2-0 down and 3-0 down at half-time which was crazy, as a team we cannot concede three goals at home in one half."

Macheda who was a first half substitute, replacing Andy Shinnie, gave Blues a glimmer of hope with his second half brace: "Yeah I'm happy (with the goals) but I'd be happy if we won the game and someone else scored. It's about the team not the individual performance."

Next up for Blues is one of Macheda's former clubs Doncaster Rovers: "It will be a very tough game but we got to rely on ourselves and go there and play well from start. If we do the right job we can win the game."
