Birmingham City Football Club is looking for family homes that could accommodate young players attending our Academy.

Some players from other areas need to live away from home to undertake their training and the club is seeking suitable host families in the B90, B91 and B94 postcode areas.

If you would like to apply to provide a caring 'home from home' then please be aware that this position is subject to a Disclosure & Barring service (DBS) check and that all persons who are resident in the accommodation will be required to undertake this disclosure at host level.

The actual accommodation will need to provide a minimum of two separate bedrooms and to have easy access to public transport and the club's training ground at Wast Hills.

Generally the placements vary from short-term to long-term. A monthly fee is payable to the host family for the duration of any placement. All applicants will be required to undergo a full assessment with our head of education and our head of safeguarding before consideration can be made as to suitability.

You would be required to attend safeguarding training as well as two or three support meetings a year.

If you are interested and live within the postcode areas mentioned above, please email peter.maisey@bcfc-tg.com with your interest and the club will then contact you to discuss the application process.
