Posted: Fri 02 May 2014

Birmingham City will face Aston Villa on May 5 in the Lord Mayor’s Next Gen Cup.

The youngsters will go head-to-head in order to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s charities, which include Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, Brandwood Centre, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Scouts and Guides.

The game will be staged at Boldmere St. Michaels FC, kick-off 12pm.

Tickets are priced at £3 adults and £2 under 16’s and can be purchased online here or on the day of the game.

Speaking about the fixture, the Lord Mayor said: “I am delighted to receive the support of Aston Villa and Birmingham City Football Clubs for my charities.

“Apart from raising much needed money for these organisations in difficult times, it gives a unique opportunity for football fans to see the current members of the Clubs’ excellent youth and academy teams, the Stars of the Future.
“Please come along with your families for what promises to be an exciting match for The Lord Mayor’s Cup”.
