Lee Clark reflects on a narrow defeat in Nottingham.

Lee Clark on the result...

"First half we gave a poor goal away and didn’t seem to recover from it and we were really flat and only four or five of my players were at their max.

"The second half it was much improved by everybody and I think we could have got something from the game."

Lee Clark on Paul Robinson's yellow card...

"He tried to tackle the guy. I’m not going to stop somebody in my team trying to tackle. I think he’s been hard done by with a lot of the bookings because he’s very competitive in today’s game.
"In a tackle you will knock an opponent over. We’re without him now so I need some of my other players to step up to the plate."

Lee Clark on his senior players needing to take responsibility...

That’s why I’m saying they need to start taking responsibility. To be at the fore from Monday onward and take over the mantle because I’ve got lots of youngsters both on loan and from the Academy and lots of players who have never played at this level before.

"Of the seniors I’ve got I thought Caddis was outstanding as was Burke in lots of his attacking play and we need other senior players to stand up and be counted."

Lee Clark on whether he has a points total in mind...

Not at all. It’s crazy at this stage of  season. We’ve seen Millwall take ten from 12and go we’ve just got to try and win on Monday now.
