Chris Burke gives his reaction to Birmingham City's disappointing 4-2 home defeat against Blackburn Rovers.

In similar fashion to the defeat to AFC Bournemouth, after a bright opening five minutes from Blues, they found themselves behind after 10 minutes and 4-0 down come half-time: "We didn't get off to the best of starts, then you're 4-0 down, which gives no team a chance to win a game." said the stand-in skipper.

"Everyone has to stand and be counted for, I think we have to start doing the basics better, in football you have to do the basics right before you can win and we're just not doing that at this moment in time and we're giving ourselves a mountain to climb each game." said the frustrated winger.

"We came out in the second half fighting and we won the second half which is probably the only positive of the game." Burke later added.

Blues halved the deficit in the second half with goals from Nikola Zigic and Demarai Gray. After back-to-back 4-2 home defeats, Burke stressed the importance that Blues must keep focused for 90 minutes: "We need to start playing for the full 90 minutes, we need to be switched on, we need to be organised and keep our concentration levels for 90 minutes."

"I thought the fans were fantastic and they got behind us and hopefully they can do the same again on Saturday for us."

"I'm positive, as well as the players, the staff and the manager that we will win on Saturday."
