Birmingham City Ladies midfielder Jade Moore played the full 90 minutes as England secured a 4-0 victory over Ukraine in their latest FIFA World Cup Qualifier.

The 23-year-old was making her first start in the qualifying campaign for The Three Lions and earned her tenth cap on a night where teammate Remi Allen also made Mark Sampson’s squad, replacing the injured Karen Carney.

And despite Allen not making the 18 at Greenhous Meadow, Moore is delighted with the recognition that the club is receiving on the international stage.

She said: “I think it’s great that Mark and the new England are looking at players who are in form and they’re not scared to bring in new personnel.

“I’m delighted for Remi to get her first call up, she’s a very good friend of mine, and at the same time whilst I’m disappointed for Karen with her injury, hopefully the rest will do her some good.”
