As part of its plan to create greater links, relationships & partnerships with grassroots football, Blues are pleased to announce the launch of their new Academy Grassroots Association (AGA).

Blues have initial teamed up seven local football clubs/organisations. They are Stourbridge FC, Santiago Colts FC, Studley Juniors FC, Cadbury Athletic FC, Wythall Juniors FC, PS Olympic FC and Robbo’s Soccer School.

As part of the programme, over 70 coaches attended Blues' Wast Hills training ground earlier this month for a joint coach education session which was led by Blues academy manager Kristjaan Speakman and Mark Kearney from the Football Association in the academy dome.

Moving forward, coaches from the associated clubs will benefit from future coach education sessions held at the training ground, together with session delivery at their respective venues to support each club's own in h-use continued professional development (CPD) coaching programmes.

This will also include visits to the Academy programme to observe training and games, with the potential to identify new and emerging local talented footballers to be offered pathways to trial/train with the academy age groups from U7-U16.

Over the coming weeks will be shining the spotlight on those clubs that have joined the AGA.
