Following the recent launch of the Academy Grassroots Association, we focus on the second of the club’s to be involved in the new initiative.

Cadbury Athletic Juniors FC are honoured and excited to be part of the Birmingham City Academy Grassroots Association.

We have provided football in the local and surrounding areas now for 20 years, and have always prided ourselves on providing good facilities and good coaching. Our core focus and values as a junior football club have always been enjoyment and development.

We feel that the coaching and development provided by our club will now be greatly improved to help us unearth more football talent in the South Birmingham area. Cadbury Athletic Juniors has a long and proud tradition of developing talent; including current Liverpool star and England international Daniel Sturridge and Birmingham City’s very own Demarai Gray, who both started their football careers with Cadbury Athletic.

Cadbury Athletic Juniors is an FA Charter Standard club situated in Bournville; currently running nine sides in the Central Warwickshire Youth League, from under 7s through to under 16s. Further to this the club is associated to Robbo’s Football Coaching, which offers an introduction to football for boys and girls aged five and upwards.

As well as boasting excellent facilities at our home ground in Bournville, as of next season our youth teams will be moving to Four Dwellings Academy for training sessions, making use of their brand new 3G facilities.

Everyone at the club would like to thank Bob Brown and the Academy for this opportunity and we look forward to working together in the future.
