Birmingham City's teenage full-back Bobby Moseley played the duration of the Republic of Ireland U19s' 2-1 victory over Iceland U19s in Dublin on Wednesday night.

Two goals from Manchester United's Sam Byrne secured victory for the hosts at the Tallaght Stadium during the opening fixture of UEFA U19 Championships Elite Qualifying Round Group Four.

The young Ireland side will now return to the Tallaght Stadium on Friday (7pm kick-off) to face Turkey U19s.

Elsewhere, Blues winger Chris Burke was an unused substitute for Scotland during the 2-2 friendly with Nigeria at Fulham's Craven Cottage.
