Studley Juniors FC is a Charter Standard Junior Football Club based in Studley, Warwickshire with teams ranging from the U7s age group through to U17s.
The club has been running since 2001 and has grown considerably over the last few years.
Last year we had 14 teams registered to the Central Warwickshire Youth Football League. This year we have 19 teams registered with the Mercian League, Midland Junior Premier League and CWYFL. We have also taken on three new teams in the younger age groups - two U7s full of players coming up through our cubs (U5/6 group) and an additional U8s team to the one we already have.
We have also taken on a Saturday team with the help of Jamie Bailey and his Football Development Centre. Much to our delight we also have our first girls team with a brand new U11s side, which also plays on Saturdays.
As you can see the club is growing rapidly to the point that we cannot keep up the supply of managers and coaches! We have enough enquiries to add additional teams, especially for the girls football, but desperately need the managers and coaches willing to take on the task.
Our turnover of players being signed to Academies is also good. We have had four of our current U8s players move up to Academies this year - three to Blues and one to Villa.
Our football development officer Steve Clements is in the process of putting together a syllabus for the club which, I imagine would be in line with how things work at Birmingham City to tie in with the AGA.
We are currently looking for a couple of U12s players for the 2014/15 season, and also if anyone is looking to start a new team for boys or girls, they are more than welcome to come and join the club. We promote the fact that our teams are not individuals but part of the club.
