Assistant manager Steve Watson gave his reaction after Birmingham City's 4-0 victory over Notts County.

Watson on clean sheet...
"Very important the fact that we got another clean sheet. Four clean sheets in a row at any level is some going. We changed our defence four times, I bet we haven't had the same defence out in four games, but everyone who has been asked to come in has took a real pride in defending and thats important to us."

Watson on the competition for places...
"From day one we've set very high standards in training and the players have adhered to them and the players ahve done everything we've asked. We've at the stage now, we're less than two weeks until the start of the season, every single one of them wants to be in the starting line up against Middlesbrough and it's almost as if they know that anything less than an outstanding performance they could be put behind a few people in the queue."

Watson on Andy Shinnie...
"Delighted for Andrew Shinnie tonight. He was playing in a bit more of an advanced role, more of a striker which he is. He played as an out and out striker and still worked his socks off and got where we want him to be - in the box. He's a clever footballer, scored a great goal and I'm delighted for him."
