Boss Lee Clark gives his thoughts on today's final pre-season outing at St. Andrew's and another win for his boys.

Lee Clark on this afternoon’s victory...

"There were some outstanding individual performances. I thought they (Inverness) were a good team and that game will benefit us a lot. They play in a similar sort of way as Middlesbrough will play next Saturday; the short, passing game with lots of movement and rotation around the pitch, so we had to get a good, organised shape against that. Obviously winning again can only help the players’ confidence. It’s been a tremendous pre-season and every single player has been magnificent for me in terms of training and playing. I’ve been delighted by that. All the players in the squad have been terrific, so I’ve got some difficult decisions to make for next week."

Clark on the impressive performance of 18-year-old Demarai Gray...

"The pace for the goal – he’s just going past people with ease at the moment, so it’s really exciting. He seems to be playing with a lot of confidence and we believe we’ve got a super player there. He can score goals, and Reece Brown (another 18-year-old) can also score goals – we’re trying to get more from him in that aspect. They are two terrific young players for the football club and they’ve both matured as people over the summer as well. They’ve had a tremendous pre-season but we just have to remember how young they are."

Clark on his decision to name pre-season top scorer Clayton Donaldson amongst the substitutes...

"I had planned on starting with Clayton but he missed training yesterday with sickness so he’d only just declared himself fit and I didn’t want to start him in the game in case there was any chance of him not being physically up for it."

Clark on conceding their first goal in pre-season...

"We’re disappointed with the manner of the goal, but me and the staff were just chatting and we’re quite pleased it’s happened today so it just realigns the team as well and they’re not thinking that they just have to turn up to get a clean sheet. It takes hard work. If you’d have told me at the start of pre-season that we were just going to concede one goal and that the players would be playing with this much confidence, I’d have taken that."
