A pair of Blues-mad teenagers have had their team photo dream come true, thanks to a double EZE Wish.

Taylor Kimber (picture one above), aged 14, and 16-year-old Dylan Bloore (picture two above) joined the Birmingham City squad at the official 2014/15 season photoshoot at St Andrew’s on Monday.

The lifelong fans were pictured alongside their heroes after each being nominated for an EZE Wish provided by Blues' diamond partner EZE Group.

Taylor, from Druids Heath, Birmingham, was nominated via dedicated email address by his uncle Richard Bayliss, who wrote: “Taylor is the oldest of my sister's three children, and every story he hears about Blues gets him all pumped-up and ridiculously excited.

“I have only managed to take him to a few games in the last couple of years, as I have to work most weekends, and when I'm not working we’re caring for my father, who has leukaemia.
“Taylor’s mum is single and can’t afford to take him to games or buy him a new kit, but you won’t ever hear him moan of complain. He helps care for my dad by doing the washing, cooking and walking the dog; I think that’s pretty selfless for a 14-year-old.

“He’s a genuinely awesome young man, and I’m proud to say he’s my nephew.”

Dylan, who lives in Nuneaton, was nominated by his mum, Teresa. She wrote: “Dylan has had a very rough time since he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia when he was five-years-old.

“He had chemotherapy for six months, lost a lot of weight, and was only allowed home once-a-month for a week at a time if he was well enough, but he never moaned.

“Dylan got to six years’ remission with the leukaemia, but was then diagnosed with cancer of the saliva gland, and had to undergo a five-hour operation. He’s doing OK at the moment, and we’re keeping everything crossed.

“Dylan loves Blues, and he’s been through a lot in his short life. Please put a smile on this young man’s face.”

EZE Group CEO, Dominic O’Reilly, said: “These are heart-warming stories involving two young, dedicated Blues fans who are clearly very deserving of the special treat we’ve been able to provide. It’s a day they’ll both remember for a long time, and provide them with cherished memories.”

Blues fans are urged to write to nominating fellow fans who they feel deserve an EZE Wish. These are considered on a regular basis, and the most deserving wishes are granted.

EZE Group announced recently that it will be a Birmingham City diamond partner for a fourth consecutive season.
