Wes Thomas' winner was enough to secure all three points for Birmingham City as Blues record their first league home win since October with a 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

"It's something we've been working towards and it's nice to get that off our back now." said the match winner.

Thomas headed the only goal of the match in the 49th minute when he met David Cotterill's cross from the right had side: "The first ball he put in really well and I've just gone and attacked it and managed to get my head on it, I'm delighted."

Blues now take on Ipswich Town on Tuesday, looking to build on today's impressive performance: "It's going to be another difficult game, we're going to need that high energy again and hopefully we can do that and get a result."
