Blues Ladies captain Karen Carney scored as England Women qualified for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Lionesses beat Wales 4-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium with Carney opening the scoring after a quarter of an hour.

The Solihull-born star, picking up her 98th cap, found the net with a swerving free-kick from deep before making way for Jill Scott in the 68th minute.

Ex-Blues duo Eni Aluko and Laura Bassett also both found the net, with Lianne Sanderson wrapping up the scoring in the first-half for England.

The comfortable result sees England qualify for next summer's tournament in Canada with a 100% record.

Blues Ladies return to action this weekend with a trip to Chelsea Ladies. Find out more at www.birminghamcityladiesfc.co.uk.
