Lee Clark gives his reaction to Birmingham City's 4-0 defeat at the DW Stadium.
Clark on a disappointing afternoon: "From the first whistle to the last, I think we had 20 - 25 minutes in the second half where we at least had a go at them and give them problems. But everything that has been good since the start of pre-season was the flip-side today and we were really poor in every aspect of the game, Wigan ran out comfortable winners in the end and thoroughly deserved the margin of the scoreline."
Clark on the performance: "We knew they're a good team, they've got good players and play a good system. We were confident, we put in a really good performance on Wednesday evening, when you think about it and look back maybe that's taken a lot out of the players. We didn't show all the attributes that we've been showing as a group today and that's why the scoreline is as big as it is."
Clark on the timing of the goals: "We'd have liked to have come in (at half-time) at 1-0, maybe we could have done something about it, but when it's three you're chasing the game, but the way we set up we should have been more solid."
Clark on the half-time changes: "The lads who come on looked lively and give us a little bit of impetus, but then we've conceded another poor goal, a thoroughly disappointing afternoon."
Clark on the international break: "I'd love to be playing, but it gives us time now on the training field, two weeks until our next game to get rid. I'm hoping that this is just a one-off, it's the first time it's happened with this group, hopefully it'll be the last."
