Four Commercial staff members have teamed up with Prostate Cancer UK to take part in the yearly Football to Amsterdam bike ride.

Head of Commercial, Ian Dutton, Football Sales Manager, James Else, Advertising and Sponsorship Manager, Akinola Fashola and Business Development Manager, Chris Brewerton have teamed up with Mike Walsh from Eze Talk and huge Bluenose’s Richard Murray, from Elephants Child, clients’ of club partner No5 Chambers.

They'll join 400 football fans, staff and legends of the game who will be embarking on the epic pedal-pilgrimage of 145 miles cycling over two days, all raising money to stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Former footballers Les Ferdinand, Terry Butcher, Viv Anderson, Alan Smith, Sean Davis and Simon Grayson are expected to take part in the event.

The riders will start on day 1 at the London Velodrome before finishing at the Amsterdam Arena the following day.

The event aims to raise over £500,000 to help beat prostate cancer and so far we’ve raised £4,000 through donations.

The Club would like to thank Official Print Supplier Mainstream Print, H-J Wealth Planning, Tonic Weight Loss, Swallow Wholesale Drinks Solutions and Byron Park Properties Ltd for their donations and generosity.

“It’s an excellent event that really helps such a fantastic cause,” said Akinola Fashola who took part last year.

“Once again the Club has joined up with the league’s charity partner and I’m delighted that we’ve managed to get six riders to join them.

“Training has certainly been tough, as I know what to expect, but the cause and camaraderie will definitely help us get through it.

“We’ve raised a good amount so far, and thank you to our partners, but as always we know we can raise more.

“I urge all supporters to support us on our journey as we look to help beat prostate cancer.”
