Jacques Maghoma and Emilio Nsue prepare for African Cup of Nations qualifiers…

The pair will link up with their fellow countrymen later this month in the first round of qualifying fixtures for the African Cup of Nations 2019.

Nsue will report for duty with Equatorial Guinea as they warm up with an International Friendly against Bolivia (4 June) before taking on Senegal (8 June) for their opening AFCON Qualifier in Dakart.

The ‘Nzalang Nacional’ have been drawn in group A alongside Madagascar, Sudan and Senegal and will be hoping to go one better than last time having missed out on the 2017 tournament at the qualifying stage.

Meanwhile Maghoma will check in with his native Democratic Republic of Congo next week as they prepare for an International Friendly with Botswana (3 June) before taking on Congo (8 June) in the capital city of Kinshasa for what will be a crunch AFCON qualifier.

The Leopards, as they are more affectionately known, have been drawn in Qualifying Group G alongside Liberia, Zimbabwe and Congo.

Having reached the quarter-finals of this year’s competition, Maghoma, who has 15 caps to his name, will harbour realistic hopes of reaching the latter stages of the tournament again in two years time.
