Groves has agreed a 12-month rolling contract to remain part of Harry Redknapp's staff.
And from the three-game spell he helped Redknapp plot Blues escape from Championship trouble, he gained a good feeling about the Club.
“I’m very happy to be here," Groves told bcfc.com
“Everybody said about the Club how friendly it is and welcoming – and it is.
“That’s a fantastic environment to work in. That, to me, is key.
“Most definitely you want to be involved in a club where it is like that because then it’s conducive to being successful.
“The basics are there for you to be able to do that.”
Redknapp signed a year's contract after Blues escape act and has talked about challenging at the right end of the table next season.
Said Groves: "You want to be successful, you want to push on.
“You don’t know exactly what lies ahead, in terms of hoping everybody stays fit for example.
“Hopefully we can have some good results and success along the way.
“You can never predict, can you, but if you do things right then there’s a chance.”
