Jonathan Spector in action for U21s

Jonathan Spector makes his long-awaited return to playing action in this afternoon's development squad game against Sheffield United.

The American international has been sidelined since October by a thigh injury

Richard Beale's side host their Blades counterparts in the U21 Professional Development League fixture at the club's Wast Hills training ground (1pm kick-off).

When the two sides met in the corresponding away fixture on the opening day of the season, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

As well as Spector, there are also places in the matchday squad for Amari'i Bell, Mitch Hancox, Callum Reilly, Tyler Blackett, Shane Ferguson, Koby Arthur and Andy Shinnie.

Admission to the game is strictly by (free) ticket only. Tickets can be collected from the security hut at Wast Hills and there is maximum number of 40 tickets available to spectators.

The full 16-man Blues squad is: Trueman, Spector, Bell, Blackett, Hancox, Sutherland, Preston, Truslove, Webb, Reilly, Ferguson, Solomon, Higgins, Kelly, Arthur, Shinnie.
