More than 220 Blues supporters enjoyed a fantastic evening of nostalgia at St. Andrew's on Friday evening at the club's Back to the 70s event.

Fourteen of the club's stars from that period including; Trevor Francis, Roger Hynd, Howard Kendall, Peter Withe, Mike Kelly, Kevan Broadhurst, Jimmy Calderwood, Steve Phillips, Jim Montgomery, Kenny Burns, Malcolm Page, Tony, Joe Gallagher and Gary Emmanuel, were all in attendance at the historic dinner.

Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner in the club's aptly-named Legends' Lounge, before the ex-players took a part in an entertaining question and answer session.

The evening also saw more than £4,500 raised for the Former Players' Association through a raffle, auction and silent auction.

Blues' Head of Commercial, Ian Dutton, was delighted with the success of the evening.

"It was great to see so many of the club's legends back together and I'd like to thank all the guests for a fantastic night," he said.

"It was clear on the night that they were a close-knit bunch of lads that stuck by one another.

"As a football club it is very important to us that we remember our history and we really want to work with our former players.

"To raise so much money for the FPA was brilliant and I'd like to thank first4memorabilia for their help and support in that.

"Building on the success of Friday night, the commercial team will now be looking to stage Back to the 80s and Back to the 90s events in the future."
