Birmingham’s John Taylor Hospice is challenging people in the city to know their ‘fives’,

The Hospice has joined forces with Blues and a host of local attractions to photograph ‘fives’ in well-known places – and is now asking people if they can identify what and where the numbers are.

All the photographs are featured on John Taylor’s new website which was re-launched at the beginning of October. People who successfully identify the fives have a chance to win great prizes including tickets to sporting, theatre and music events, a signed Birmingham City FC shirt, meals out and a luxury hamper from the city’s Harvey Nichols store.

The competition is free to enter and entries can be submitted by post, email and on the telephone.

Spot the Fives forms part of the Hospice’s birthday celebrations, marking one year since John Taylor became a social enterprise.

“Whether it is tickets to see this year’s panto at Birmingham Hippodrome, the chance for a night out at Brummies Speedway or tickets for Madness at the LG Arena, we have some really great prizes in Spot the Fives,” said Hospice communications officer Diane Parkes.

“We have been out and about with our cameras photographing fives all over the city. Some will be quite easy to spot, others may be a bit more challenging. Either way people can enter all ten or can just send in one they have spotted – they are all welcome to have a go.

“We are very grateful to all of the organisations who have supported us by giving us such wonderful prizes. It is a great way to celebrate our first birthday and the re-launch of our website.”

Prizes are a family ticket to Thinktank, a pair of tickets to see Madness at the LG Arena, five pairs of tickets to see Birmingham Brummmies Speedway, four tickets to see Birmingham Hippodrome’s pantomime, a pair of tickets for Last Night of the Christmas Proms at Symphony Hall, a £30 voucher for Verdo Lounge, a hamper worth £100 from Harvey Nichols, a pair of tickets to see 9 to 5 The Musical at the New Alexandra Theatre, a family ticket for The Gruffalo’s Child at Town Hall and a signed Birmingham City FC shirt.
