Famous Bluenose Jasper Carrott returned to the stage during a sold-out event at St. Andrew's last weekend.

The popular comedian hosted 'Live at St. Andrew's' in the Jasper Carrott Suite following the npower Championship match-up with Watford on Saturday with warm up material for a forthcoming tour.

Around 150 guests enjoyed the funnyman's set as well as several other acts. These included 'Spanner on the Works', a four-piece act who earlier in the night had played the role of bad waiters/waitresses in hilarious circumstances in front of unsuspecting diners. Jasper was also supported by Graham Jolly, a mind reader and comedian.

Blues' Head of Commercial, Ian Dutton, said: "The event was a huge success. We have really tried to create a new dimension to our match day hospitality by adding more value to our customers. This season as well as ‘Live at St. Andrews’ we have also themed a match day around ‘Ladies Day’ and ‘Casino Royale - Celebrating 50 years of James Bond’, which have all proved successful with both guests and sponsors.

"As everybody knows Jasper is a legend in these parts, so to secure his services and passionate support is a really coup for the football club.

"As always we aim to excel in all areas of our off-the-field activity to further build on our award winning hospitality. Fans should keep a look out for more great events this season and beyond.”

Thirsty guests were treated to complimentary bottles of Fosters Gold by sponsors Heineken UK (MMS). The event was also supported by MG Sales Centre, Baldwin Events, BR Industrial and Peters Pies.
