Blues get behind the ICC Champions Trophy

The ICC Champions Trophy continued its tour around Birmingham last week with members of the playing and coaching team of Birmingham City FC posing for pictures with the coveted cricket trophy at the club’s Wast Hills training complex.

Blues manager Lee Clark, goalkeeper Jack Butland (pictured) and defender Curtis Davies had a close look at the Champions Trophy, which was in Birmingham last week as part of a promotional tour before the tournament gets underway in Cardiff on Thursday 6 June. Birmingham’s Edgbaston’s Stadium hosts it first match just two days later when England face their great rivals Australia.

Edgbaston hosts five matches in total in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, including the final, which will be the first time that a men’s global cricket tournament has been staged outside of London.
