Blues will this season be lending official support to a new atmosphere group in a bid to get St. Andrew’s back to its best for the 2012/13 campaign.

Starting from the npower Championship opener against Charlton Athletic on Saturday 18 August, Forza Blues will aim to be colourful, loud and proud for every fixture at our famous home.
Taking inspiration from some of the fun yet friendly antics from their football-loving counterparts on the continent, the group will be looking to introduce choreographed celebrations and colourful banners for each game.

Members will also have their vocal chords pushed to the limits as they cheer on Lee Clark’s boys as they bid for promotion back to the top flight.

Forza Blues will be based in block 5 of the Gil Merrick Lower Stand and the club are delighted to announce that we have been granted permission from the local authorities for this section to be unreserved seating on a trial basis.

It’s hoped that unreserved seating will encourage a lively atmosphere to blossom but ultimately Forza Blues need YOUR support.

The founder member of Forza Blues, Paul Smith, told “I started Forza Blues in a effort to get the dying atmosphere back into St. Andrew’s.

“I felt that we had forgotten the true values of what it was to be a Blues fan so I set to work to form Forza Blues with the sole aim of enhancing the atmosphere within the stadium. I want to bring back that cauldron of noise that St. Andrew’s was famous for.

“So I approached the club to see if they felt the same and to my excitement they did! Our aim is now to grow the group and make it louder and prouder.”

The Forza Blues group will be governed by a specific code of conduct on a matchday and prospective members can already purchase tickets in GML5 at the St. Andrew’s Ticket Office or online here. Supporters who have already purchased tickets elsewhere in the stadium will also be able to transfer these to the Forza Blues section by contacting the ticket office.
