Jack Butland has been named in the England U21 squad for their two friendly fixtures later this month.

The young Lions host Romania at Wycombe Wanderers' Adams Park Stadium on Thursday 21 March, before they play Austria on Monday 25 March at Brighton's Amex Stadium.

Those matches are the last two home games for Stuart Pearce's young England side before they head over to Israel in June for the UEFA European Championship.

Twenty-year-old Butland signed for Premier League outfit Stoke City in January but was immediately loaned back to Blues for the remainder of the 2012/13 campaign.

The goalkeeper currently has seven U21 caps and one England senior cap to his name.
