Terry McDermott believes that Ravel Morrison has the 'ability to go right to the top'.

The on-loan West Ham midfielder has been one of Blues' stand-out performers in recent games.

Against Hull on Saturday he scored an excellent volley to record his first goal for Blues.

"Ravel is a great talent," said Blues' assistant manager.

"I know he’s got a reputation, but he’s a great kid and he wants to do well here. He loves being here and wants to be involved.

"He's got the ability to go right to the top and he will do if he listens to the right people like the manager and the coaching staff."

At just 19, a lot of expectation has been placed on Morrison's young shoulders, but McDermott feels if he continues to perform as he has been doing the former Manchester United trainee's game will improve even more.

"We've all helped him and we’re reaping those benefits, but we know there's more to come," added McDermott.

"He is thriving on the pressure. He scored a fantastic goal against Hull and he should score even more goals with the ability he's got."
