Paul Robinson, Jonathan Spector, Wade Elliott, Colin Doyle and Akwasi Asante have all been offered new contracts.

Defender Robinson, whose fine form towards the end of the 2012/13 campaign helped him clinch the True Blue Juniors Player of the Season award, has been offered a new one-year contract, with a further one-year option.

There are also fresh deals on the table for Spector (two-year contract), Elliott (one-year contract plus a one-year option) and promising striker Asante (one-year contract plus a one-year option).

Loyal servant Doyle, who has just completed his eleventh senior season at St. Andrew's, has also been offered the chance to extend his stay further with a new two-year contract

This announcement comes fresh off the back of the club implementing a one-year option on winger Chris Burke's contract.

Meanwhile four senior players have been released. Keith Fahey, Morgaro Gomis and Pablo Ibanez will all seek pastures new, while Steven Caldwell will spend the remainder of his current Blues contract (due to expire on 30 June 2013) on-loan at Major League Soccer outfit Toronto.

Elsewhere Adam Rooney, who spent the majority of the 2012/13 campaign on-loan at Swindon Town, is now set to join the npower League One outfit on a permanent basis as per the terms of his loan agreement with The Robins.

The club would like to thank all five players for their fantastic service to Birmingham City and everybody associated with Blues wishes them well for the next chapter of their careers.
