Blues new-boy Andrew Shinnie has been nominated for the PFA Scotland's Player of the Year award.

The Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder, who will link up with Blues for the 2013/14 campaign having signed a pre-contract agreement, is vying for the top prize north of the border after an impressive season.

The 23-year-old is up against Hibernian's Leigh Griffiths, Motherwell's Michael Higdon and Aberdeen's Niall McGinn having been voted for by footballers across Scotland's four senior leagues.

The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at a dinner and ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday 5 May.
